Please help. thanks 4/13/2009 moreResolved Question: Due to physical limitations, I can't fly. Are there any MBA level marketing jobs not requiring travel?
I have searched for jobs that didn't list any travel, but then by the time I interview or get a job offer, I'm informed they are 10-20% travel. I then mention that I can't travel coach, and it seems like they just interpret that as me being cocky and demanding, and it goes out the window. I'm 6'9", and proportionally, physically do not fit in airplane seats. Because I'm a big guy (375 lb), even though I'm an athlete (ex-college sports, current semi-pro football) and perfectly healthy, I can't manipulate my body to squeeze my legs in any other way. I know this sounds awkward. I can barely get by on SOME airlines by sitting in exit rows, but few- if any- allow you to specify that prior to flying anymore. I've had good luck on the rare flights that I have had to take as of the last several years that someone was willing to give up their bulkhead or exit row seats for me- and once I even got the flight attendant to let me sit with my legs going into the aisle, but I can't rely on this goodwill should i be traveling frequently. I just want to put this "problem" away and not deal with it, but I'm thinking it's impossible. I guess I can resort to my undergraduate engineering degree, but I was really hoping to enter marketing as I am quite passionate about it- and have performed exceptionally well in schooling and a non-travel consulting internship. I have no problem traveling up to 14 hours in a day via car, as i have made trips of such length frequently in the past. Is there any type of position or company that won't require travel? Or is there any way I can "word" it early on to keep me on larger planes with business class seating or first class seating without it being a huge negative? moreVoting Question: What happened to Edwin Natividad and his ACG Empire who are the biggest group of culprits and the number one c?
Athome Consulting Group Inc. based at San Jose, CA is one of the major contributors in the worst real estate and economic meltdown in the history of the United States of America. This company promoted the ARM (Adjustable Rate Mortgage) which starts with a very low teaser rate. ACG will teach & train their agents to recruit potential real estate agants. Once you joined the company, the requirement is to refinance your home first. Whoever is your recruiter gets a share of the comission and so with the direct Marketing Director, all the way to the President of the company who is Edwin Natividad. You, who just got recruited and refinanced your home with the ARM program is now stucked with the low teaser rate for the next year or 3 years whichever comes first. Then, they will teach you to re-invest that equity money you just received to buy a new home or homes with zeroor little money down, apply for a loan through the ARM program again, wile they get all the rebates and commissions. Their strategy is for you to go out and recruit also to become a Managing Director in order to enjoy the benefits of getting overrides from all these commissions. These were during the good times when the real estate market was really hot. It made the NATIVIDAD clan (Edwin, Jeffrey, John) and all their cousins Charlie ABAYAN, so filthy rich they were sporting their top of the line Mercedez Benz, Ferrari, BMWs, and brag about their multiple million dollar homes during their annual conventions and seminars. During the early 2007, the real estate market was starting to slow down because the ARM loans are slwly maturing from the ones that refinanced or bought properties with the ARM program in 2003, 2004, and 2005s. Tragically, no one could stop it anymore because the in the middle of 2007 up to now, the real estate market tumbled and most of those who used the ARM program foreclosed their homes because they owe more than the value of their homes. This is a tragedy for most of the innocent "wanna be" real estate agents who got sucked in by the some licensed "blood suckers" like Edwin Natividad and his ACG Empire. They are one of the major contributors of this recession that everyone, including me and my family is now suffering. Its a very hard lesson to swallow considering so many people across the nation lost their homes, broken families, some even committed suicide! All these human suffering because of one CLEVER MAN, EDWIN NATIVIDAD, who rose from rags (brags about planting tomatoes and camote leaves in their backyard for their food) to being FILTHY RICH in a span of 4 years, by capitalizing on the ARM program through his ACG empire!!! moreResolved Question: Shouldnt McCain have picked this guy?
Former Massachusetts Governor Mitt Romney has been widely recognized for his leadership and accomplishments as a public servant and in private enterprise. Elected in 2002, Governor Romney presided over a dramatic reversal of state fortunes and a period of sustained economic expansion. Without raising taxes or increasing debt, Governor Romney balanced the budget every year of his administration, closing a $3 billion budget gap inherited when he took office. By eliminating waste, streamlining the government, and enacting comprehensive economic reforms to stimulate growth in Massachusetts, Romney got the economy moving again and transformed deficits into surpluses. At the beginning of Governor Romney's term, Massachusetts was losing thousands of jobs every month. By the time he left office, the unemployment rate was lower, hundreds of companies had expanded or moved to Massachusetts, and in the last two years of his term, the state had added approximately 60,000 jobs. One of Governor Romney's top priorities was reforming the education system so that young people could compete for better paying jobs in the global economy of the future. In 2004, Governor Romney established the John and Abigail Adams Scholarship Program to reward the top 25 percent of Massachusetts high school students with a four-year, tuition-free scholarship to any Massachusetts public university or college. He has also championed a package of education reforms, including merit pay, an emphasis on math and science instruction, important new intervention programs for failing schools and English immersion for foreign-speaking students. In 2006, Governor Romney proposed and signed into law a private, market-based reform that ensures every Massachusetts citizen will have health insurance, without a government takeover and without raising taxes. Governor Romney was elected to the Chairmanship of the Republican Governors Association by his fellow Governors for the 2006 election cycle, and raised a record $27 million for candidates running in State House contests around the country. Romney first gained national recognition for his role in turning around the 2002 Winter Olympics. With the 2002 Games mired in controversy and facing a financial crisis, Romney left behind a successful career as an entrepreneur to take over as President and CEO of the Salt Lake Organizing Committee. Governor Romney has said he felt compelled to assume the seemingly impossible task of rescuing the Games by both the urgings of his wife, Ann, and by the memory of his father, George Romney, who had been a successful businessman, three-term Governor of Michigan, and a tireless advocate of volunteerism in America. In his three years at the helm in Salt Lake, Romney erased a $379 million operating deficit, organized 23,000 volunteers, galvanized community spirit and oversaw an unprecedented security mobilization just months after the September 11th attacks, leading to one of the most successful Olympics in our country's history. Prior to his Olympic service, Mitt Romney enjoyed a successful career helping businesses grow and improve their operations. From 1978 to 1984, Mr. Romney was a Vice President at Bain & Company, Inc., a leading management consulting firm. In 1984, Romney founded Bain Capital, one of the nation's most successful venture capital and investment companies. Bain Capital helped launch hundreds of companies on a successful course, including Staples, Bright Horizons Family Solutions, Domino's Pizza, Sealy, Brookstone, and The Sports Authority. He was asked to return to Bain & Company as CEO several years later in order to lead a financial restructuring of the organization. Today, Bain & Company employs more than 2,000 people in 25 offices worldwide. Governor Romney has been deeply involved in community and civic affairs, serving extensively in his church and numerous charities including City Year, the Boy Scouts, and the Points of Light Foundation. He was also the Republican nominee for U.S. Senate in 1994. Governor Romney received his B.A., with Highest Honors, from Brigham Young University in 1971. In 1975, he was awarded an MBA from Harvard Business School, where he was named a Baker Scholar, and a J.D., cum laude, from Harvard Law School. moreResolved Question: I would like to know if there are any good free-lance or pre-profesional writing jobs on the internet?
