I know that I have to do the future soldier stuff, know time, rank, creed, orders and all that. The one thing that is confusing me is the physical assessment. Do I need to be able to do the beginning basic qualifications, the 50pt grad basic qualifications, or the 60pt grad AIT qualifications in order to complete the checklist? Also, if anyone has the complete list or website to it, can they give it to me. I am completely going off memory of what my recruiter said and a little handout he gave me (which doesnt have the physical stuff). I figured it was the AFQT standards. I don't have too much to worry about with the running or the sit-ups (always focused on core strength in martial arts)... but the push ups I am off by about 12. I've been working on them but haven't seen too much of an increase. It's not that it's a tough weight, just that I don't think I have the muscle stamina to go a full 2 minutes. I worked for a company a while back and recently looked on their website to find two pictures of myself in a shot at a promotion event. I was unaware of these photographs and was at no point asked if they could be published on the companies website. Is this illegal? When I enlisted at MEPS I was given a DEP book (for Army) that talked about a correspondence program to go ahead and start earning promotion points. The website they have listed is broken and does not work. OK So a startup company which I have been doing some freelance work for (I'm a designer) have offered me a 2% share in their company in exchange for occasional work. This startup company is basically a website which sells computer peripherals, much like Misco and Dabs etc. This 2% (non liable) will pay a yearly dividend at the end of every tax year. In exchange I think they are looking for me to create the occasional banner advertisement and generate a weekly HTML email (Not much work once you have the basic template designed) and to consult them about improvements to the site including rankings, search engines , anything for promotion etc... I got this free Lenovo S10 from a Singtel mio promotion (i got a mioTV + internet package). However, it only came with English. I tried installing the Chinese IME available at the Microsoft website (i tried every single one of them) but the installer says it cannot be installed on this version of windows or i have the wrong version of microsoft office (when i have the correct one, microsoft office 2007). I go to troubleshooting, and it says the IMEs should already be installed along with the computer. I went to Control Panel >>> Regional and Language Options >>> Languages >>> install South Asian languages. It then says; "The file 'xjis.nls' on Windows XP Home Edition CD-ROm is needed. Type the path where the file is located, and then click OK. Copy files from: D:\i386" I click ok but cannot. I went to check and the folder "D:\i386" does not exist. Furthermore, the laptop did not came with the windows xp home edition cd, and Lenovo S10 does not have CD-ROM drive. -.- (that's not the problem, im going to get an external cd-rom drive soon) So, can anyone teach me how to get Simplified Chinese IME up and running on my laptop? :/ Will be very grateful for any help =) more
